Rhian Morgan wins top Women in Finance Award
Rhian Morgan, Director, Chartered and Certified Financial Planner, is delighted to win the ‘Best Female Financial Advisor’ at the BWS Women in Finance Awards 2025.

The awards, held on Thursday 22nd May in Glasgow, were hosted by TV journalist and broadcaster Rachel McTavish, at the Grand Central Hotel. The awards celebrated the achievements of women driving Scotland’s finance industry. By recognising leaders across sectors like corporate finance, fintech, and accounting, the awards highlight Scotland’s role in global finance and promote gender diversity in traditionally male-dominated fields. This inclusive event honoured women at all levels, from executives to essential operational roles, and those leading sustainability and ethical finance initiatives.
The Best Female Financial Advisor category is awarded to an outstanding female financial advisor who has consistently demonstrated exceptional expertise, dedication, and personalised service in helping clients achieve their financial goals.
As the first female director appointed at the firm, she is keen to break the bias by continuing to be a mentor to others in a profession where women make up only 16% of advisors*. In addition to director, she manages a client portfolio of 100 clients and has been instrumental in the design and launch of their specialist service (Family Wealth) in 2024.
On winning the award, Rhian Morgan said:
“I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to have received this award from BWS, and to have been in the company of such inspirational women in finance. The industry has changed dramatically in the last 20 years, and I feel so lucky to have been able to achieve what I have with Acumen Financial Planning and the wider firm. I still wake up every day loving my job as a financial planner and so to win best financial adviser at the Scottish awards is the icing on the cake!”
This latest accolade follows on from previous success for the team at Acumen Financial Planning who were awarded the prestigious Accredited Firm of the Year from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) for the third time in October last year, having previously been awarded this title in 2016 and 2018, and achieving The New Model Advisor Awards (Scotland & NI) in January 2025 for the sixth time.
